Good morning I have a 1995 chevy silverado 4x4, the transmission is not shifting out of first gear, pull out code 28 for the pressure solenoid, I replaced the solenoid (original gm), replaced the filter and put fresh fluid and still not shifting but code is gone, I still getting code 18 but i don't know if is relevant to my problem.Diagnosis is key when it comes to transmission problems, as various issues can cause similar problems. Trouble with wiring or sensors could be at fault instead. A faulty shift solenoid should be replaced. In some cases, the solenoid is integrated into the valve body and isn't serviceable.
